Amy Foote, Managing Principal of Foote Law Firm, brings over 25 years of legal, regulatory, compliance, and investigative experience as a prosecutor, internal corporate counsel, and litigator.  She has advised and has served as independent monitor for public and private sector clients on compliance and governance issues, commercial disputes, and complex investigations and litigation.

Amy has led compliance engagements and monitorships, conducted internal investigations, and litigated a wide variety of employment disputes and criminal and regulatory matters.  She has also successfully defended clients in criminal and civil matters, including those before the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and the New York State Attorney General's Office.

Amy began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney's Office, appointed by the Hon. Robert M. Morgenthau.  Amy is a former Partner at StoneTurn, a firm specializing in compliant, risk and investigative matters.  She was also previously associated with Boies, Schiller & Flexner where she represented clients in securities, antitrust, and international governmental litigation and investigations. Amy also served as Senior Counsel to a multi-billion dollar conglomerate of international insurance entities and investment companies.

• Represented a senior executive of a registered investment company in connection with employment-related claims of harassment and wrongful termination.

• Represented public company in disputes with former CEO and legal counsel.

• Represented a senior executive of a registered investment company in connection with employment-related claims of harassment and wrongful termination.

• Served as Special Counsel on behalf of a legislative body to conduct an independent investigation into allegations of misconduct in the workplace including sexual harassment and assault by a former County Commissioner and to conduct a comprehensive review of the county's policies and procedures related to sexual harassment and discrimination.

• Investigated claims of sexual harassment on behalf of a federally-appointed monitor of a large construction union.

• Investigated claims of sexual harassment on behalf of international mining corporation operating in Africa.

• Investigated RICO claims on behalf of a corporate client against an insurance broker.

• Served as Forensic Adviser to the federally-appointed monitor of one of the largest unions in North America, conducting investigations into claims of fraud and election-related irregularities.

• Served as Forensic Adviser to the federally-appointed monitor of one of the largest construction unions in the United States managing elections and conducting investigations and compliance reviews.

• Served as Independent Auditor of waste carting corporation by New York City Business Integrity Commission assessing the corporation's integrity and compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

• Served as Forensic Adviser to Independent Consultant to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey regarding municipal bond disclosure requirements resulting from a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Consent Decree.

• Represented a group of U.S.-based insurance agencies in a series of litigations against their former principals in state and federal courts in numerous jurisdictions and arbitrations before AAA and ad hoc tribunals.

• Represented international investment company in trademark disputes in domestic and international jurisdictions.

• Represented a major film studio executive in a contract dispute with a major film studio.

• Represented a major international chemical company against civil and criminal allegations of antitrust violations in numerous jurisdictions, including Multi-District Litigation proceedings.
